County boundaries from a 1:24,000 data set published by the Center for Agricultural, Resource, and Environmental Systems were attributed with the region to which they belong, and then their boundaries were dissolved to form the MoDNR regional boundaries. Other attributes with information about the MoDNR regions were then added.
