Locations generated using Centrus Geocoder for ArcGIS geocoding software from data provided by Missouri Dept of Higher Education. http://www.dhe.mo.gov
Once locations were placed by software, location was further refined by placing points using 2004 NAIP aerial photography. When address was to a specific building, research on the college/university web page campus map was used to place the point on the correct building. Otherwise the point is placed centrally among the buildings of the campus.
10/2010: Data was field verified in the Southeast region of Missouri by staff in the SEMO and Bootheel Regional Planning Commission (RPC) offices, and corrections were added to this file by Missouri State Emergency Management Agency GIS staff. Data that has been field verified by these agencies has a value of "RPC" in the field "LocCode".
